Let your fishing line out to your desired length, loop your fishing line 6 - 8 times, pull down on the stainless steel lever and place the looped fishing line over the lever and close. Turn the tension knob to adjust the tension, light or heavy, depending on the size of fish you are targeting. Best used 8" - 10" above your downrigger ball. Corrosion resistant.
